Finance Administrator

Position:  Finance Administrator
Organization: Foundations, Inc.
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ

Foundations, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Finance Administrator.  Located in Metropolitan Philadelphia, Foundations, Inc. is a nationally-recognized non-profit that provides professional development, training, technical assistance, assessment tools, and publications to improve educational outcomes for children and youth across the country. 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to work closely with our finance team.  The successful candidate will possess the financial and management skills necessary to monitor various grants and prepare necessary reporting. Position will provide financial support to staff and interact with funders. These functions will be performed in accordance with all appropriate Federal, State, GAAP and GASB guidelines.

Responsibilities include

  • Tracking and reporting financial data for multiple grant funders.
  • Prepare budget vs. actual reports and grant specific financial reports.
  • Liaison between funders and Finance Team.
  • Oversee and track incoming donations, sponsorships, grant funding.
  • Prepare grant confirmations and monitor reporting requirements.
  • Monitor ingoing and outgoing funds, in order to prevent a negative cash flow at any time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience of 2-3 years in accounting, business, finance and grant experience.
  • Experience working in nonprofit multi fund accounting, including tracking and reporting financial data for multiple grant funders, including state and  federal grants
  • Demonstrates effective communication, positive attitude, flexibility, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate, experience with automated accounting software (Blackbaud Financial Edge or other), spreadsheets and word processing, advanced Excel knowledge including pivot tables and other utilities.
