Mr. Owens joined Foundations in February of 2009.  As the CFO of the organization, he is responsible for all of the financial activities of Foundations, including audit and tax reporting.  He is also responsible for Information Systems.  In addition to the traditional financial services, Mr. Owens is also responsible for the operations of the School Business Services Division.  This division includes contract financial services to multiple New Jersey and Pennsylvania Charter Schools and the Chester Upland School District in Delaware County, Pa.

His background includes in excess of 30 years of non-profit academic and healthcare financial management.  Immediately prior to his arrival at Foundations, he held the financial officer position at a local private high school.  His background also includes the CFO position at a Medical School and a University Hospital and Vice President for Finance and of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

Mr. Owens is a graduate of Villanova University with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania.
