Grade Level Reading

Reading at Grade Level: We're All Responsible

How do we ensure that all children read, and read well? We all commit to getting children on track and on target to read at grade level by grade 3. And what about the children that fall through the cracks? We said all and we mean all! School, afterschool, extended day, parents, families, communities: we're all in it together.

Join our Grade Level Reading workshops where we will address issues, best practices, innovations, research, and partnerships for achieving this critical milestone for children's success in and through school.  Presentations and workshops will address language and literacy skills, working with the growing English language learner population, technology for literacy, differentiated instruction, leveraging afterschool as a full partner for literacy, summer learning, and parent and community engagement.

School district leaders, principals, classroom teachers, extended day and afterschool leaders, and early childhood staff and leaders will have ample opportunity to share expertise, learn from the latest research, and forge powerful new strategies for children's literacy.
