Site Visits to Afterschool Programs in the Jacksonville Area

What do afterschool programs look like in Jacksonville? Take advantage of a popular Beyond School Hours conference feature: guided site visits to some of the best afterschool programs in the host city. Site visits will allow guests to see successful programs, talk with staff and program participants, and share best practices.
More than 10 years ago, Jacksonville was one of the first cities to receive 21st Century Community Learning Centers funding from the U.S. Department of Education. Jacksonville enjoys a unique partnership with the Jacksonville Children’s Commission and Duval County Public Schools as well as a strong collaboration with area non-profit organizations. Programs are designed to enhance students’ academic performance in language arts, science, and math while providing cultural experiences and rich social activities. Come see why Jacksonville’s afterschool sites are the buzz of the entire city!
How to Pre-Register* for Site Visits
Limited Space Available
Site visit registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Because site visits occur on the opening day of the conference, when many attendees will be travelling, we strongly encourage you to pre-register as follows:

- Name
- Organization
- Contact Information
- Names of others from your organization who will attend site visits
* Important: You will still need to check in at the site visit table on 2/17 to receive your specific bus assignment.
All site visit attendees must be officially registered for the conference. Those names which are not listed as official registrants for the entire conference will not be permitted to attend the site visits.
