Quality-Building Tools

• School Improvement Process:

  Foundations offers the On-site School Assessment School Improvement Process™ (OSASIP™ ) to focus your quality-building efforts. Our expert educators will conduct a comprehensive evaluation at your school  that examines designated areas of school operations, provides feedback on strengths and weaknesses, and offers specific improvement recommendations. We review records and policies, observe classrooms and common areas around the school, and conduct interviews and focus groups with stakeholders.

  With support from the U.S. Department of Education and the Dodge Foundation, Foundations developed a web-based version of OSASIP designed as a self-assessment, which includes tips, stimulus questions, and a resource library.

• Quality Assurance System:

  Foundations Quality Assurance System® (QAS®) wraps afterschool program evaluation and improvement into one comprehensive online tool. It guides you through a close examination and analysis of your program and leads you to targeted improvement plans. The initial assessment and follow-up format and unique graphing allow you to easily track the progress you’ve made and see the areas that still need work. Programs assessing more than one site can even produce a Cumulative Report and view progress across sites.
